Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday said that the people of Telangana wanted the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to become stronger so that it can achieve golden Telangana at a faster pace.
The Chief Minister was speaking to a group of leaders from various parties from Madhira constituency in Khammam, who joined the TRS on Friday. KCR said that the future trend of Telangana political history could be gauged from the recent electoral results.
“People of Telangana want the TRS party to be strengthened in the State. The election result of Paleru Assembly constituency proves this argument as Paleru is located in Khammam district which borders Andhra Pradesh,” said KCR.
He opined that the joining of several leaders from
Madhira constituency was not a political event and that they have only responded to his call for political unity.
KCR said that Telangana achieved the freedom to use its allocated share of water after it became a separate State and made it clear that it would not be prevented from doing so.
He said that the Sita Rama project (Dummugudem) would become a blessing to the people of Khammam and said that there would be further development of the region after Kothagudem is made into a district.
Several leaders from the Congress, TDP and CPI joined the TRS in the presence of the Chief Minister, including Madhira ZPTC candidate M Priyanka, MPP D Samrajyam, Padmavati, M Vinay Kumar, S Appa Rao, L Venkat Reddy, and others.
