New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stressed the need to make a developed India that is self-reliant and everyone has equal rights to fulfill their dreams. Addressing the gathering during the Dussehra celebrations in Dwarka, New Delhi yesterday, Mr Modi called for ending distortions like casteism, and regionalism harming harmony in society.
The Prime Minister said, that on Vijayadashami, there is a tradition of Shastra Puja and on Indian soil, weapons are worshipped not to dominate but to protect its own
land. The Prime Minister said, our Shakti Puja is not just for India but for the welfare of the entire world.
Prime Minister said, India is now emerging as the world's largest and most trustworthy democracy. The Prime Minister also urged people to take ten pledges. These include uplifting the socio-economic status of at least one poor family, following the mantra of Vocal for Local, encouraging digital transactions, saving water and using made-in-India products.
