Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that his government is moving with a roadmap of right intention, best technology and effective implementation for the better future of 130 crore people of the country.
Mr Modi said the NDA regime is taking the country to politics of performance from the earlier practice of politics of promises.
Addressing the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi today, the Prime Minister said it is the need of the hour that the government should pay attention towards core areas of governance adding that the good governance could be more effective if there is less interference of government in people's lives.
While listing out several decisions of his government towards the welfare of common man, ease of living and better administration, Mr Modi said the government should have the pressure to perform.
The Prime Minister said, the government is working towards the development of 112 districts as Aspirational Districts. Mr Modi said, the special attention is being given in these districts on every parameter
of development, and on every parameter of governance.
Prime Minister said, the decision to abrogate Article 370 may seem difficult politically, but it has provided a new impetus to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh towards development.
Mr Modi said, the decision taken to regularise Delhi’s unauthorised colonies also paved the way for a better future of 40 lakh people.
Prime Minister also said although a lot of apprehensions were expressed ahead of the Supreme Court's Ayodhya verdict, after it was pronounced, the people of the country proved all such apprehensions wrong.
Referring to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Mr Modi said Indian citizenship for those facing persecution in their home countries will ensure that they get a better tomorrow.
On the merger of Public Sector Banks, Mr. Modi said the banking sector has been made stronger than before assuring the bank officers that their business decisions will not be questioned.
