PM Modi arrives in Leh on a day-long visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Leh today on a day-long visit to Jammu and Kashmir. He was welcomed at the Khushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport by Governor NN Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba, Minister of State at PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, and Cooperative minister Tseeing Dorjey.

Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the commencement of work on the developmental projects costing approximately Rs 11000 Crores including a road



tunnel in Ladakh region and two ring road projects, at different events in Leh Ladakh, Srinagar and Jammu. 

Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, security has been beefed up with security forces put on highest alert in Srinagar city and elsewhere in Kashmir Valley. All requisite measures have been put in place to ensure foolproof security across the Valley.
