Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday set a new milestone as he became the most followed global leader on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). With over 100 million followers, PM Modi outshines Virat Kohli (64.1 million) and Taylor Swift (95.3 million).

PM Modi's follower count on X surpassed global leaders including US President Joe Biden (38.1
million followers), Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed (11.2 million followers), and Pope Francis (18.5 million followers).
When compared with the social media followers of various Indian political leaders, PM Modi stands out significantly. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has 26.4 million followers, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 27.5 million. Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav has 19.9 million followers, and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has 7.4 million.
PM Modi's follower count also surpasses that of global celebrities like Taylor Swift (95.3 million), Lady Gaga (83.1 million), and Kim Kardashian (75.2 million).
