Telangana's signature dishes were on display during the BJP's two-day national executive committee held at HICC in Hyderabad. An elaborate menu consisting of 50 dishes was prepared for top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the meeting.

Caterer G Yadamma was the person who prepared the menu, keeping in view the taste of the leaders from different parts of the country. Yadamma, who hails from Gudatipalli village of Siddhipet district, was flown in to Hyderabad.

The array of snacks included potato cheese poppers, veg spring rolls, corn samosa, sandwich, pineapple canned juice, fresh watermelon juice, fresh lime soda along with Irani chai and coffee.

The main course comprised tomato-bean



curry, aloo kurma, bagara baingan (spicy brinjal), ivy gourd-coconut fry, Okra- cashew and groundnut fry, ridge gourd fry with meal-maker flakes, methi-moong dal fry, mango dal, biryani, pulihora, pudina rice, white rice, curd rice, Gongura pickle, cucumber chutney, tomato chutney and bottle gourd chutney.

The sweet dishes comprised of paramannam, a dish made of rice and jaggery, Seviya pudding, sweet puran polis and Ariselu, all Telangana delicacies.

The snacks menu also included “gaarelu” made of moong dal, sakinaalu, makka gudaalu and sarva pindi with various chutneys like that of tomato, groundnut, coconut and chilli.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, interacted with the chefs, and enquired about the delicacies on display.
