PM Modi calls for fulfilling Bapu's dream of rural development

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of rural development and self-reliant villages. The Prime Minister was addressing the Gujarat Maha-Panchayat Sammelan at GMDC Ground in Ahmedabad yesterday. PM Modi said the Panchayati Raj System is very important to achieve Bapu's dream of Gram Swarajya.

in the Panchayati Raj system. Mr. Modi also praised the villagers of the country for showing awareness against the Covid-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister appealed to the panchayat members to work for the upliftment of the villagers with a series of small initiatives. He appealed to the villagers and Panchayat members to work for the upliftment of village schools, water conservation, natural farming, and tree plantation.
