Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Kuwait counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah yesterday discussed the domestic and international aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The two leaders agreed that their officials will be in regular contact to exchange information and explore avenues of cooperation and mutual support during the health crisis.
Prime Minister Modi, who had a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of Kuwait,
underlined the importance that India attaches to its relations with Kuwait. Mr. Modi described Kuwait as a valued member of India’s extended neighbourhood.
Kuwaiti Prime Minister stressed that Kuwait greatly values the contributions of the large Indian community there. He assured Mr.Modi that Kuwait will continue to ensure the safety and welfare of the people of Indian origin there in the present situation.
