PM Modi, German Chancellor to co-chair 5th Inter Governmental Consultations today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will co-chair the 5th Inter Governmental Consultations (IGC) in New Delhi today. The two leaders will also hold talks and discuss a host of bilateral issues including economic partnership, trade, investment and agriculture.

Entire gamut of bilateral issues including science, education, technology, people to people contact and cultural exchanges will also be



discussed. Two countries are likely to sign around 20 agreements.

German Chancellor arrived in New Delhi last night on a three-day visit to India. The German Chancellor is accompanied by several Ministers and State Secretaries of the Federal Government, as well as a high-powered business delegation.
