Border Security Personnel is celebrating its raising day today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the Border Security Personnel and their families.
In a tweet Mr. Modi said, this is a force with an outstanding track record of protecting India and serving the nation with utmost diligence. The Prime Minister added that he also appreciates the noble
work of BSF during challenging situations like natural disasters.
India’s first line of Defence, BSF was established on 1 December 1965 for ensuring security on the borders of India. BSF plays a crucial role in containing unauthorized entry into or exit from the territory of India and it prevents transborder crimes.
