Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted former US president Barack Obama on Friday.
Modi later tweeted that he looked forward to the work of the Obama Foundation, which the latter has launched since leaving office.
"It was a pleasure to meet, once again, former President @BarackObama, and learn about the new initiatives being taken forward under his leadership at the @ObamaFoundation and his perspectives on further strengthening
India-US strategic partnership," Modi tweeted from his personal handle, @narendramodi.
Earlier, Obama addressed a newspaper event where he said that he liked Modi and that he was friends with former prime minister Manmohan Singh, too.
Obama, on his first visit to India after demitting office this January, also addressed a Town Hall meeting where he interacted with nearly 300 young leaders from various parts of the country.
