Union Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to make key announcements on the 1st November for the development of Union Territory of Ladakh. He held series of meetings with Travel Trade Alliance and various stakeholders of Culture and Tourism of Ladakh region for better understanding of the sectors. 

"Tourism and Culture minister Prahlad Patel is third Central Minister to visit Leh Ladakh within a month after the announcement of the UT status for the region. A high-level delegation led by the Minister Prahlad Patel had detailed discussions with the various stakeholders of tourism and culture sectors in Leh. Stakeholders appealed the Minister to explore the opportunities in adventure and winter tourism, Protection



to Ladakh business community and conservation of ecology. 

Prahlad Patel said the Union Territory Status for Ladakh will allow to take their decisions that suits the local people and requirements to fulfil the desires of the region. Many development programs already in the pipeline for execution.

Prahlad Patel said recognition for Boti language also was discussed with the experts,  upon fulfilling certain conditions, the language will get recognition under 8th Schedule. Ramesh Chandra for AiR News Leh."
