PM Modi launches Delhi Metro's Magenta line, takes ride with UP CM Adityanath

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a stretch of the new Magenta line of Delhi NCR.

The line connects Botanical Garden in Nodia with Kalkaji Mandri in Delhi.

At the inauguration, PM Modi was also accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

"This step , the inauguration of Metro's magenta line, will prove to be a milestone towards realizing the dreams of development for Noida & Greater Noida region," said



Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

"We are going to bring new metro lines in Kanpur and Agra. Today under the guidance of PM, we have managed to give sugarcane farmers their pending due. Today is Christmas, Vajpayee's birthday and Madan Mohan Malviya Punyathithi and this metro line is best gift on this auspicious occasion," he added.

Modi also boarded the Delhi Metro from Botanical Garden metro station today around 1 pm after the inauguration.
