New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to freedom fighter Acharya Kripalani, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, and Onake Obavva on their Jayanti. In a series of tweets, PM said, Acharya Kripalani was at the forefront of India’s freedom struggle under Bapu’s leadership. He made immense contributions towards environmental protection and social empowerment.
PM also remembered Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, said he was a path-breaking thinker and intellectual, he was passionate about the education sector and worked to further brotherhood in society.
In another tweet, PM paid tribute to courageous woman
warrior Onake Obavva on her Jayanti. PM said, no one can ever forget the courage with which Onake Obavva fought hard to protect her people and culture, she inspires people as a symbol of the Nari Shakti.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also paid tribute to great freedom fighter, nationalist and educationist, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on his birth anniversary. In a tweet, Mr. Naidu said, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad strove to promote national unity and value-based education. The Vice President said, he will always be remembered for his invaluable role in India's freedom struggle.
