Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reviewed the Army’s preparedness and initiatives to deal with COVID-19 situation in the country. Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane discussed various initiatives being taken by the Army to help in COVID management.
 
General MM Naravane informed the Prime Minister that medical staff of the Army



is being made available to various state governments. He added that the Army is setting up temporary hospitals in various parts of the country. Mr. Naravane apprised the Prime Minister that the Army is opening up its hospitals for civilians. He informed that the Army is helping with manpower for imported oxygen tankers and vehicles where specialized skills are required to manage them.
