Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the change in the lives of welfare scheme beneficiaries in 10 years is a story full of courage, satisfaction, and dreams. Mr Modi said, this while interacting with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra through video conferencing yesterday. He said, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra focuses on the saturation of government schemes.
The Prime Minister said, the Viksit Bharat Yatra is reaching far-off places and connecting people. He thanked the people of the country, especially women for making this program a huge success. Mr Modi said, the Yatra started around 50 days ago, but it has already reached lakhs of villages in the country.
He said, that after the Viksit Bharat Yatra was started, 4.5 lakh new applications have been received for Ujjwala Gas connection. The Prime Minister said, over one crore Aayushmaan cards have been distributed to the people of the country, and health check-ups of around 1.25 crore people have been done. He said, 10 crore women joined self-help groups
and were given 7.5 lakh crore rupees by banks.
Mr Modi said, it is the endeavor of the Government that cooperation emerges as a strong aspect of rural life in India. He said, 'One District, One Product' initiative will go a long way in furthering prosperity in the lives of many. The Prime Minister also stressed on Vocal for Local.
Thousands of beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from across the country joined the event. Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local-level representatives joined the programme at different places around the country.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the Central Government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner. Since its launch on the 15th of November this year, Prime Minister Modi has regularly interacted with the beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra all across the country.
