Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally at Panaji in Goa today. Goa will go to polls on February 4 to elect a new assembly. Electioneering has gained momentum as senior leaders of various political parties are campaigning in different parts of the state.
Addressing a press conference in Panaji, BJP South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar criticized the election manifesto of Congress, terming it economically in-feasible. He said, the
people of Goa will reject the flimsy promises being made by Congress party. Congress leader Sachin Pilot said, it is the BJP which has failed to fulfill the demands of the people, despite being in power both at the centre and state.
Aam Aadmi party is focusing their election campaign around corruption. AAP chief ministerial candidate Elvis Gomez promised that the party will eliminate corruption within 90 days of coming to power.
