PM Modi to address Peace, Unity & Development Rally in Assam today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Assam today. Mr Modi will address the Peace, Unity and Development Rally at Diphu in Karbi Anglong District around 11 AM. Prime Minister's address at the rally will provide a major boost to the peace initiatives in the entire region.

During the programme, Mr Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various projects worth more than 500 crore rupees in the education sector, including laying of foundation stone of Veterinary College at Diphu, Degree College at West Karbi



Anglong and Agricultural College, Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong. These projects, will bring new opportunities for skilling and employment in the region.

Mr Modi will dedicate to the nation seven cancer hospitals and lay the foundation stone of seven new cancer hospitals across Assam.

 

Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects in Assam being developed at a cumulative cost of around 1150 crore rupees.
