Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address Sahkar Sammelan to mark the birth centenary of Cooperative Leader Laxman Madhav Rao Inamdar in New Delhi today.
Mr Modi will also release books on Mr Inamdar and nine important leaders of cooperative movement in India.During the event, the Prime Minister will felicitate seven cooperatives for their work in their respective fields.

Cooperative departments are participating in the event.The ideology perceived by Laxman Madhav Rao Inamdar led to the formation of Sahakar Bharati to spread and strengthen co-operative movement.
The organisation which came to existence in 1979 in Mumbai is enlightening the masses about the benefits of the Co-Operative Movement.
It is also assisting, advising and helping the existing Co-Operatives to overcome problems and difficulties.
