Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha today and is scheduled to stay till December 1 for the all-India Director General-Inspector General of Police (DG-IGP) conference. This conference will be held at Lok Seva Bhawan for three days, starting November 29.
The conference will be attended by key dignitaries, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, among others.
Director Generals of Police and heads of security agencies from across the country will also attend the meet in Odisha for the annual DGP conference. The conference will focus on national security challenges and the evolving responsibilities of police
forces.
Official sources said that the agenda will include discussions on internal security, cybercrime, Maoist threats, and challenges posed by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and drones. Counter-terrorism strategies are also expected to feature in the discussions.
Extensive security measures have been implemented by the Odisha government in preparation for the conference. Employees involved in the arrangements have been directed to follow strict protocols during the event.
On December 4, the Indian Navy will celebrate Navy Day for the first time on a large scale in Bhubaneshwar. Under which the Navy will showcase its firepower on the seacoast of Odisha's capital.
