Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar beginning today. Mr Modi will reach Sindri, Dhanbad in Jharkhand this morning. Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects related to the fertilizer industry, railways, power and coal sectors worth 35,700 crore rupees in the state.

Prime Minister will dedicate the Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited (HURL) Fertilizer Plant located in Sindri to the nation. This fertilizer plant has been developed at a cost of more than 8900 crore rupees. This will increase indigenous urea production in the country by approximately 12.7 LMT per year. HURL plant would be the third fertilizer plant to be restarted in the country after the restoration of fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam.

Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several railway projects worth more than 17,600 crore rupees through virtual mode. The projects include the third and fourth railway lines connecting Son Nagar-Andal; Tori-Shivpur 1st and 2nd railway line and Biratoli-Shivpur 3rd railway lines (part of Tori-Shivpur project); Mohanpur-Hansdiha new railway line and Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line. 

During the programme, the Prime Minister will also flag off three trains. This includes the Deoghar-Dibrugarh train service, MEMU train service (daily) between Tatanagar and Badampahar and



long-distance goods train from Shivpur station.

Mr Modi will also dedicate to the nation's important power projects including the first unit of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) at Chatra with a generating power capacity of 660 MW. This project is developed with a cost of more than Rs 7500 crore and will improve the power supply in the region. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation projects related to the coal sector in Jharkhand. Later to this, PM Modi will also address a public rally at Barwadda in Dhanbad.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will participate in a public programme where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than 7,200 crore rupees in Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal.

Tomorrow, Mr Modi will reach Krishnanagar in the Nadia district of West Bengal, where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth 15 thousand crore rupees. In the afternoon, he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth 21,400 crores in Bihar's Aurangabad. He will also visit Begusarai where he will participate in a public programme and inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple oil and gas sector projects worth about 1.48 lakh crore rupees across the country.
