Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a Union Cabinet meeting at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday, November 28, sources told India Today.
PM Modi will also chair a Council of Ministers meeting at 6 pm and the Union Council will meet at 8 pm. Both the crucial meetings will take place at Prime Minister's 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence.
The agenda of the Cabinet meeting was not revealed by the time this article was being drafted. However, the meeting sparks speculation whether the Centre is planning some big move ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Notably, the Cabinet ministers will be
meeting the Prime Minister days before Assembly election results for five states (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram) will be announced.
The meeting also comes days ahead of the Winter session of Parliament, which, according to sources, is scheduled to begin on December 4 and conclude on December 22. The government has also called for an all-party meeting on December 2.
The last Union Cabinet meeting was held on September 18 at Parliament Annexe Hall in New Delhi amid the special session of the Parliament. The special session of Parliament, which began on September 18, continued until September 22.
