PM Modi to deliver inaugural address at Indian Science Congress today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address at the 105th session of the Indian Science Congress, at Manipur University in Imphal, Manipur today. 

The five-day Science Congress is an annual congregation of science professionals from across the globe.The theme of this year’s edition of the Science Congress is “Reaching the Unreached through Science and Technology.” 

Official sources said the venue of the meet was decided at a very short notice keeping in view the willingness



of the state government, Manipur University's preparedness and the Look East Policy of the Centre emphasising on north eastern region of the country. 

Mr Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the National Sports University, 1000 Anganwadi Centres, 19 residential complexes for teachers, doctors and nurses, and other development projects. 

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Luwangpokpa Multi Sports Complex, Rani Gaidinliu Park, and other development projects.
