Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of multiple infrastructure and development projects worth over 29,000 crore rupees across the state.
At around 11 AM today, Mr Modi will lay the foundation stone and launch several development projects worth more than three thousand 400 crore rupees in Surat. Thereafter, he will travel to Bhavnagar and will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple developmental initiatives worth over five thousand 200 crore rupees.
At around 7 this evening, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 36th National Games at a grand Opening Ceremony to be held at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Mr Modi will also address athletes from across the country taking part in the National Games. Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and other dignitaries will attend the opening ceremony.
National Games are being held in the state of Gujarat for the very first time. It will begin today and will continue till 12th October.
Nearly 15 thousand sportspersons, coaches, and
officials from across the country will be participating in 36 sports disciplines, making it the biggest National Games ever.
The sporting events will be organised in six cities of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
At around 9 PM, the Prime Minister will attend the Navratri Festival at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad.
PM's TOMORROW SCHEDULE:
Tomorrow, at around 10:30 AM, Mr Modi will flag off Gandhinagar- Mumbai Vande Bharat Express at Gandhinagar station and travel on the train from there to Kalupur Railway Station.
At around 11:30 AM, the Prime Minister will flag off the Ahmedabad Metro rail project and will take a metro ride from Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra metro station.
At around 12 noon, Mr Modi will inaugurate Phase-I of Ahmedabad Metro project at a public function at Ahmedabad Education Society in Ahmedabad.
Thereafter, at around 5:45 PM, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate various projects worth over seven thousand 200 crore rupees in Ambaji.
