Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave on a three-day visit to China this afternoon.
Mr Modi will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping during an informal summit on Friday and Saturday in Wuhan city.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had on Sunday said that it will be an important occasion for Mr Modi and Mr Xi to exchange views on bilateral and international matters with the objective of enhancing mutual communication at
the level of leaders.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the meeting between Mr Modi and Mr Xi will be a milestone in India-China relations.
This will be Mr Modi's fourth visit to China after he came to power in 2014. Prime Minister is again due to visit China to take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit to be held in Qingdao city on June 9 and 10.
