Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 14th edition of Aero India in Bengaluru on February 13. The event will be held for five days and participants from 809 companies will take part in showcasing the country’s aerospace and defence capabilities. It aims to show India as an emerging hub for manufacturing of military aircraft, helicopters, equipment and new-age avionics.
The five-day event will be held on the theme ‘The runway to a billion opportunities’ and will focus on showcasing indigenous
equipment/technologies and forging partnerships with foreign companies. Around 100 countries will take part in the aero show.
Addressing the curtain raiser press conference in Bengaluru on Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Aero India 2023 will showcase the country’s manufacturing prowess and the progress achieved towards realising ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ as envisioned by Prime Minister Minister Narendra Modi. He said the event will significantly contribute to the development of the aerospace and aviation sector.
