Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bengaluru Tech Summit, 2020 through video conferencing today. The theme of the summit is "Next is Now". The three-day summit will deliberate on the key challenges emerging in the post-pandemic world. It will focus on the impact of prominent technologies and innovations in the domains of ‘Information Technology & Electronics’ and ‘Biotechnology’.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin, and many other prominent international figures will participate.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister
Dr.Ashwath Narayana said that 25 tech nations are participating in the summit along with thought leaders, industry captains, technocrats, researchers, innovators, investors, policy makers and educators. He added that 12 MoUs will be signed with foreign countries paving the way for investments in Karnataka. Over 200 Indian companies are setting up virtual exhibitions.
The summit will see the participation of 4000 delegates and 270 speakers in 75 panel discussions. Some 50 Indian tech start ups will showcase their technology to European companies. Two MoUs will be signed in the areas of cybersecurity and agri-tech between Karnataka and Netherlands.
