The University of Agricultural Sciences in Bengaluru is all set to host the 107th Indian Science Congress from tomorrow till 7th of this month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will tomorrow inaugurate the conference to be attended by over 15,000 delegates including Nobel laureates, scientists, academicians, students, farmers among others.
The General President of the Indian Science Congress Association, Prof. K S Rangappa has informed that 1500 scientific papers and 5700 posters will be laid in 14 scientific disciplines. There are 26 plenary sessions lined up for the science buffs.
Women, Farmers, Children and Science communicators will have exclusive deliberations
during this science congress. The Pride of India exhibition is one of the attractions during the Science show.
Over 130 participants are exhibiting technologies, machineries, equipments and science models. Farmers’ congress being organised for the first time will focus on innovation in the integrated agriculture and entrepreneurship, climate change, bio-diversity, agrarian distress, rural bio entrepreneurship and policy issues.
In the three technical sessions on agriculture, around 10 innovative farmers will present their views. ISCA has introduced a comprehensive mobile app ISC 2020 UASB to provide details of all the sessions.
