Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's ever first Global Mobility Summit - MOVE in New Delhi today.The main focus of the two-day summit, being organised by the NITI Aayog, is to make Indian cities pollution free.
The summit will deliberate on 5 themes electrification & alternative fuels, reinventing public transport,goods transport & logistics and data analytics and mobility. More than 2,200 participants from across the world including leaders from the
government,industry, research organizations, academia, think tanks and civil society will attend the event. Deliberations will he held on steps to promote more and more usage of electric vehicles and to bring awareness about various aspects of Mobility.
Addressing media persons about the Summit yesterday Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said that the mobility conference is a huge opportunity to leapfrog as there is an inevitable global disruption through electric mobility.
