Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat and the neighbouring union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli beginning today. Mr Modi will inaugurate a hospital in the union territory and launch several development projects during his visit. Prime Minister will also address a ‘Lakhpati Didi’ convention in Navsari tomorrow on the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD).
Mr Modi will reach Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli this morning and inaugurate the 450-bed NaMo Hospital. From there, he will go to Sayli Stadium to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 62 projects worth 2587 crore rupees. He will also address a public meeting at the
stadium.
Prime Minister will attend the Surat food security saturation campaign this evening, where he will distribute benefits to approximately 2 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be present at the event.
Tomorrow, Mr Modi will be in Navsari district to attend the ‘Lakhpati Didi Sammelan’ at Vansi-Borsi and disburse 450 crore rupees in financial assistance to more than 2.5 lakh women from over 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs). More than 1.50 lakh ‘Lakhpati Didis’ from Navsari, Valsad, and Dang districts will be present at the event.
