Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today interact with participants of Grand finale of Smart India Hackathon across various centres.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, that he will join the grand finale of the Smart India Hackathon in the evening. Prime Minister said, he is eagerly looking forward to this opportunity of engaging with pioneering young innovators.
The second edition of Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2018- Software edition will be held simultaneously today and tomorrow at 28 centres across the country.The Hackathon aims to build Digital India of country's dreams and to engage the youth directly with nation-building.
It is intended for promoting innovation,
out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students. It aims to harness creativity and expertise of students, build funnel for - Startup India, Standup India campaign, crowd sources solutions for improving governance.
It also gives opportunity to citizens to provide innovative solutions to India’s daunting problems. The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the selected to host this edition.
The finale will go on for 36 hours at a stretch. One lakh engineering and management students have registered for the world's largest Hackathon.
The first edition of this event held last year recorded nearly 40 thousand participants.
