PM Modi to launch projects worth over Rs. 500 crore in Varanasi today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over 500 crore rupees in Varanasi today. Among the projects to be inaugurated by Mr Modi are Integrated Power Development Scheme for Puraani Kashi and an Atal Incubation Centre at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The projects for which the foundation stone will be laid include the Regional Ophthalmology Centre at the BHU. The prime minister will also address a gathering.

Mr Modi arrived in the temple town yesterday on a two-day visit to his Parliamentary constituency. Prime Minister first interacted with students of a primary school at Naraur on the outskirts of Varanasi. During his interaction with school children, Mr Modi asked them not to be afraid of asking questions, saying it is a key aspect of learning. Calling the children future of India, Mr Modi said, they must give importance to sports as it is important to learn various skills. 

Later Prime Minister also met students of the Kashi Vidyapeeth and the children assisted by them. Earlier, on his arrival, the prime minister was received at the airport by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state BJP president Mahendra Nath Pandey among others.

Modi for the slew of benefits announced by the Prime Minister for them recently. 

Prime Minister held the review meeting with officials and BJP leaders and took stock of the progress of the development projects. He later visited key locations of the city. It was close to Midnight but the Streets of Varanasi were packed with enthusiastic people who jostled to take a glimpse of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while he was inspecting the development work at various locations. 

PM offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath temple and saw the work of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. People waiting for their trains couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw PM inspecting the wok done at Manduadih Railway Station late night. Narendra Modi was greeted by the crowd everywhere as he drove through the streets of Varanasi. 

Today’s function of inauguration and foundation laying ceremony PM will distribute 500 bee boxes under Honey mission and various electric based machines to the porters and artisans. Other major projects which will be dedicated to the people by Narendra Modi include installation of Meters, Portable water project and two power substations. The foundation stone for Regional Ophthalmology Centre at Banaras Hindu University will also be laid.
