Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nagpur today on Ambedkar Jayanti. Immediately after arrival at airport, he would proceed to sacred Deekshabhoomi and pay tributes to the Architect of Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at the Central Memorial on his birth anniversary.
He is scheduled to release two special commemorative postal stamps - one depicting Deekshabhoomi in its full glory and the other with twin pictures of Lord Gautam Buddha and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at another function in the city.
PM Modi would launch several crucial initiatives at the function organized by the Niti Aayog on this Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti Day. The BHIM-Aadhaar, the merchant interface of the BHIM app to be launched on this occasion would pave way for making digital payments by using the Aadhaar platform.
In addition, two new incentives including cash bonus for the BHIM app user consumers and cash-back for
merchants on the relevant transactions would also be initiated at this juncture. The prize-winners of Mega Draw of Lucky Grahak and Digidhan Vyapar Yojana would also be awarded at the 100th and concluding Digidhan Mela.
Apart from that Mr. Modi would launch the ambitious 'Home for All by 2022' scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana by performing bhoomipujan for 21 projects coming up in state.
Similarly, Prime Minister Mr. Modi would also lay the foundation stone for the Nagpur campus of Indian Institute of Management coming up at MIHAN. Besides IIM-N, he would simultaneously lay foundation stones of other premier institutes like All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Indian Institute of Information Technology from the same venue.
Maharashtra Governor Mr. Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis along with several Union Ministers would also be present on this occasion.
