PM Modi to visit Chandigarh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Chandigarh on Tuesday to review the progress of three new criminal laws, which have been designed and implemented to overhaul India’s criminal justice system. However, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to arrive today.

On the occasion, the police will conduct a live



demonstration to showcase improvements in law enforcement, judicial procedures and evidence management after the introduction of the new laws. The demonstration will include eight stage performances, one of which depicts a murder investigation, on the Punjab Engineering College (PEC) campus in Sector 12.
