PM Modi to visit Gujarat on March 4

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from 4th March. During this visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various development projects and also lay the foundation of a Vishwa Umiyadham temple complex. 

According to sources, Prime Minister will be in Jamnagar district to lay the foundation stone for a desalination plan for converting sea water into potable water on 4th March. 

State Chief Secretary J.N. Singh has said that Gujarat Government has planned such desalination plants in coastal areas of Saurashtra, Kutch and Central Gujarat in order to further strengthen the water security. 

Mr Modi will also welcome the Narmada water in Ranjit Sagar reservoir of Jamnagar under SAUNI project.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate a 700-bed hospital, 1008 residential unit, 1000-bed



Samras hostel, JMC pipeline work. From Jamnagar, he will reach Ahmedabad to inaugurate the first phase of the city’s Metro Rail project. On the same day, Prime Minister would also inaugurate a newly-built 1,200-bed civil hospital in Ahmedabad. 

He will lay the foundation stone for a mega temple complex - Vishva Umiyadham - coming up on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. 

On the 5th March, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Annapurna Dham near Adalaj village of Gandhinagar. 

Mr. Modi will also launch the ‘Pradhan Mantri Shramjivi Man dhan Pension Yojana’ at a function to be held in Vastral area of the city. 

This will be the national launch of the scheme, aimed to provide monthly pension of 3,000 rupees for the workers in unorganized sector.
