Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Ladakh on 26th July to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

As per the officials, the event will be celebrated at Drass in the Kargil district, from July 24 to July 26.

“The PM’s visit to the Kargil War memorial at Drass would be the highlight of the celebrations. The schedule includes a wreath-laying ceremony, a visit to the Wall of Fame and a tour of the Kargil War Museum. Overseeing the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit, LG Ladakh Dr. B. D.



Mishra convened a meeting to finalise arrangements for the occasion. 

During the meeting, discussions focused on security protocol, reception procedure and preparation of a green room at the Drass helipad. General Officer Commanding of the 8 Mountain Division, Major General Sachin Malik informed LG about the security measures and ensured efficient completion of all the arrangements. LG also plans to visit the Kargil War Memorial on July 24 to oversee the final preparations.
