Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Poland on August 21 and will be in war-torn Ukraine two days later on August 23, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Monday.
Secretary West of the MEA, Tanmaya Lal, made the announcement during a press conference. The
visit to both nations was prompted by the invitations sent by their respective leaders, PM Donald Tusk of Poland and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.
PM Modi's visit to Ukraine will notably be the first time an Indian prime minister visits Ukraine in more than 30 years.
