Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States President Donald Trump will meet on February 13, sources told India Today TV on Monday. The development came days after the Ministry of External Affairs said it was in talks with the US for an early visit of the Prime Minister to the US.

It would be PM Modi's first bilateral visit to the US since Trump took oath as President for the second

time.

On Friday, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India and the US were trying for PM Modi's early visit to the US to further deepen the partnership between the two countries. He, however, said that the exact dates of the visit are still being worked out.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20.
