Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the Indian delegation to the 20th Summit of SCO Council of Heads of States, which will be held virtually on 10th of this month.
The meeting will be chaired by President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Briefing media, MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, this will be the first SCO Summit to be held in virtual format and this is the third meeting that India will be participating as a full
member.
India was granted observer status of SCO in 2005 and it became a full member in 2017. In the last three years, India has maintained extensive engagement in all fields under the SCO framework.
Mr Srivastava said, India is going to host the SCO Heads of Government meeting on 30th of this month in virtual format. He said, Prime Minister of SCO members will participate in the meeting.
