Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of central government’s welfare schemes today through virtual mode under the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The aim of the Yatra is to attain saturation of flagship schemes by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all the targeted beneficiaries in a time bound manner.
The Prime Minister will also launch Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra on the occasion. Under this initiative, drones will be provided to Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) so that this technology can be used by them for
livelihood.
A total of 15 thousand drones will be provided to women SHGs in the next three years. Women will also be provided necessary training to fly and use drones. The initiative will encourage the use of technology in agriculture.
During the programme, Prime Minister will also dedicate the 10,000th Jan Aushadi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar. The Prime Minister will also launch the programme to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the country from 10 thousand to 25 thousand.
