Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a day-long visit to Maharashtra today. During his visit, the Prime Minister will launch various initiatives related to the agricultural and animal husbandry sector worth around 23,300 crore rupees in Washim. He will also inaugurate the Banjara Virasat Museum, celebrating the rich heritage of the Banjara community. Later, Mr Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over 32,800 crore rupees at Thane.

In Washim district, the Prime Minister will release the 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. During this event, over 9.4 crore farmers across the country will receive direct financial benefits, amounting to more than 20 thousand crore rupees. On occasion, he will also release the additional benefit of around two thousand crore rupees to the farmers of Maharashtra under the 5th instalment of the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana.

Mr. Modi will also dedicate more than 7,500 projects to the nation under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, worth over 1,920 crore rupees. The major projects include custom hiring centres, primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading units, cold storage projects, and post-harvest management projects, among others. He will also dedicate 9 thousand 200 farmer-producer organisations with a combined turnover of around 1 thousand and 300 crore rupees.

Prime Minister will also launch the Unified Genomic Chip for cattle and indigenous sex-sorted semen technology. He will dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 megawatts across Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana-2.0. During the programme, he will also honour beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki



Bahin Yojana. In Thane, Mr Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of key metro and road projects. PM will flag off the Metro train from BKC Metro Station, scheduled to run from BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line-3 worth around 14 thousand 120 crore rupees. Mumbai Metro Line-3 is a key public transport project that will improve commuting between Mumbai city and suburbs. The fully operational metro line 3 is expected to cater to about 12 lakh passengers daily.

Mr. Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project to be constructed at the cost of around 12 thousand 200 crore. The total length of the project is 29 kilometres, with 20 elevated and 2 underground stations. This ambitious infrastructure project is a key initiative to address the growing transportation needs of Thane, a major industrial and commercial hub in Maharashtra. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the elevated Eastern Freeway Extension from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar in Thane worth around 3 thousand and 310 crore rupees. The project will provide seamless connectivity from South Mumbai to Thane. Further, he will lay the foundation stone of Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project worth around 2 thousand and 550 crore rupees.

The project comprises the construction of major arterial roads, bridges, flyovers, underpasses, and integrated utility infrastructure. He will also lay the foundation stone of Thane Municipal Corporation to be constructed at a cost of around seven hundred crore rupees. The high-rise administrative building will provide benefits to the citizens of Thane by accommodating most municipal offices in a centrally located building.
