Ahmedabad: On the third day of his 3-day visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various healthcare facilities worth 1275 crore rupees in Civil Hospital Asarwa, Ahmedabad today.
This includes dedication of new and improved facilities for cardiac care and a new hostel building in UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre; new hospital building of the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre and new building of Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute.
Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of shelter home to accommodate families of poor patients. Mr Modi will also address a rally at Jamkandorana in Rajkot this morning. PM will dedicate 850-bed Asia’s largest Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre at Civil Medicity in Ahmedabad which is built at the cost of 418 crore rupees. He will also dedicate new and improved facilities for cardiac care and a new hostel building in U.N Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre.
He will also inaugurate the new building of the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute. PM will also lay the foundation stone of a new super speciality hospital among others. PM will also launch 188 dialysis centres at various places in the state and daycare Chemotherapy centres at 22 places across the state.
Yesterday, Prime Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stone of projects related to irrigation, power, water supply, and urban infrastructure worth 1,448 crore rupees in Jamnagar. Addressing the people, Mr Modi said, the Government is highly stressing upon the ease of doing business for small industries and has abolished more than 33 thousand small compliances and over two thousand irrelevant laws to benefit the MSME sector of the country. Prime Minister said, India’s place in the Ease of doing business index has improved from 182 in 2014 to 63 today.
The Prime Minister also dedicated two packages of Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Yojana Link 3 and Link 7 at Jamnagar. With this, the waters of River Narmada will reach Jamnagar, Rajkot, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Porbandar in the Saurashtra region. More than 170 kilometers of pipeline built at the cost of around 1000 crore rupees will benefit around one lakh people in the region.
Mr. Modi also dedicated the 40 megawatt Solar Power plant at Haripar village in Jamnagar. Prime Minister also inaugurated Phase 1 of Modi Shaikshanik Sankul, an educational complex for needy students in Ahmedabad. Addressing
the occasion, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of skill development in order to ensure employment for youths.
Mr Modi also dedicated and laid the foundation stone of several developmental projects worth over Eight thousand crore rupees in Bharuch district of Gujarat. Speaking on the ocassion, the prime Minister said that earlier India was at the 10th spot in terms of economy, however today our country is the 5th largest economy in the world. All of us are proud of this achievement, he said. Mr. Modi asserted that during the time of the COVID pandemic, the world came to know the importance of the Indian pharma sector. He said, the contribution of India towards defeating Coronavirus was unmatchable.
The Prime Minister said, the exports of pharmaceuticals of New India are touching the sky today and this achievement is possible due to the collective efforts of all Indians. He said, when the country is entering into the Amrit Kal, the golden period has begun for Gujarat which is immensely contributing to the growth and development of the country.
The Prime Minister said, the Bharuch alone houses a huge number of industrial units, much larger than the total industrial units of small states. The new projects related to Chemicals, connectivity, and pharma sector, will boost the economic growth in the region. Mr. Modi said, the new airport to be set up at Ankleshwar will play an important role in increasing exports from Gujarat.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for Gujarat’s first Bulk Drug Park at Jambusar which will be built at the cost of 2500 crore rupees. Apart from this, he laid the foundation stone for Deep Sea Pipeline Project at Dahej, along with multiple industrial parks. It include four Tribal Industrial Parks to be set up at Valia in Bharuch, Amirgadh in Banaskantha, Chakaliya in Dahod and Vanar in Chhota Udaipur. Prime minister Narendra Modi has said that Gujarat will emerge as hydrogen and semi conductor hub in the coming 10 years. Addressing a public meet at Aanand, he said with the mantra of 'Sabka Sath sabka vikas', Gujarat has achieved development in every field of life. He said, the grain production was doubled in Gujarat in the past 20 years.
The Prime Minister said, along with farming, cattle rearing industry is also growing in the state. He praised farmers of the state for adoption nature farming. Mr Modi also condoled the demise of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and recalled his memories with him.
