Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mumbai and Aurangabad today to inaugurate a slew of new projects. Security has been beefed up for the function to be held in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.
Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for three Metro corridors worth over 19,000 crore rupees.
From Mumbai, the Prime Minister will proceed to Aurangabad, where he will inaugurate the Aurangabad Industrial City’s Shendra project. Before winding up his day-long visit, Mr. Modi will also address a gathering of women self-help groups that have been organised by Ministry of Rural Development
and panchayat raj Government of Maharashtra under Umed- Maharashtra Rajya Gramin Jivnnoti Abhiyan.
AURIC is one of India’s most well-planned, Greenfield and smart industrial cities being developed over an area of 10,000 acres at Shendra and Bidkin near Aurangabad. It aims to create 2.2 lakh direct jobs with a total industrial output of 46.2 billion US dollars and Exports of 11.6 billion US dollars.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagtsing Koshiyari, Chief Minister Devendra Phadnvis, state ministers and other dignitaries will be attending the function.
