In Bihar, seven FIRs have been registered including RJD nominee Rohini Acharya in connection with clashes at a polling booth and post-poll violence under Telpa police station area in the Saran parliamentary constituency.
District Magistrate of Saran, Aman Samir said, four different FIRs have been registered by the district administration on accused on charges of violation of the model code of conduct, rioting at a polling booth, spreading rumours via social media to incite violence and clashes between two groups on the day of polling on 20th
May.
He said three other FIRs have been registered related to post-poll violence by rival groups of RJD and BJP supporters. A BJP supporter has also lodged a complaint against RJD nominee Rohini Acharya. On 21st May, one person was killed in post-poll violence during the incident of firing after clashes between BJP and RJD supporters and two others were injured at Bhikhari Thakur Chowk in Chapra town under the Telpa police station area. As a precautionary measure, the district administration has suspended the internet services till 25th May.
