Policeman, civilian killed in terror attacks in J&K

Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police and a civilian were shot dead by terrorists on Wednesday evening in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and old city area of Srinagar respectively.

As per a police spokesman, the ASI was identified as Mohammad Ashraf. He succumbed to his injuries while on way to Srinagar where he was being



shifted for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, in Srinagar, a civilian was shot at from a close range outside his residence in Eidgah area of the old city.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Cases have been registered and search to nab the assailants is on.
