Political activities gain momentum to form new govt in Goa

In Goa political activities  have begun to form new government in the state. Senior BJP leader and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the party will  form the  new government in Goa.

Mr Sawant said BJP  has sought Goa Governor's PS Sreedharan Pillai

appointment to stake claim to form the next government.Mr Sawant said the party will take support of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party ( MGP) and independent candidates  for formation of new government.

Meanwhile three independent candidates have extended support to BJP for formation of new government in the state.The Party state President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said  independent MLAs Chandrakant Shetye(Bicholim),Alexio Reginado Lourence( Curtorim) and Antonio Vaz (Cortalim) have taken decision to support BJP.

leader Devendra Fadnavis  lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that people have shown faith in him. Mr Fadnavis said people of Goa have given us a clear majority.Devendra Fadnavis said who will be Chief Minister of Goa will be decided at meeting of parliamentary board meeting of party.

BJP’s Goa election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis said that BJP legislature party meeting would be mostly held on Friday to select the leader of the legislature wing.Mr Fadnavis said that MGP will be part of the new government in the state. He said the MGP has given a letter of support to BJP.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said people have voted to BJP and party accept the verdict of the people of Goa.Mr Chidambaram said split in votes among various parties led to Congress defeat in election.
