In Madhya Pradesh, amid the political turmoil, both the ruling Congress and Opposition BJP in the state decided to move their  MLAs to safe locations to prevent attempts of poaching. BJP MLAs have been sent to Gurugram in Haryana while Congress MLAs are being sent to Jaipur in Rajasthan. Congress sources informed that MLAs are likely to leave for Jaipur from Bhopal today morning following the political uncertainty in the state after resignation of senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 MLAs.

Meanwhile, Congress has sent two of its leaders - Sajjan Singh Verma and Govind Singh to Bengaluru to pacify the rebel MLAs who are staying in the city. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath yesterday expressed confidence that his government will complete its term.  

Earlier, BJP MLAs from Madhya Pradesh reached Gurugram from Bhopal late last



night. After a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party in Bhopal, Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava said that they were going out of the state capital to celebrate Holi with the party MLAs. Political happenings and meetings continued in Delhi and Bhopal  during the day. Following Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia's announcement of his exit from the Congress, there was a spate of resignations from his supporting legislators and party officials.

A delegation of BJP leaders met Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker N P Prajapati in Bhopal and handed over the resignations of 19 rebel Congress MLAs who are staying in Bengaluru. After receiving the letters, Mr Prajapati told reporters that he will take decision as per the rules. Senior BJP leader Bhupendra Singh claimed that the number of Congress MLAs resigning could reach 30 very soon.
