Polling underway for elections to 4 municipal corporations in West Bengal

Kolkata: In West Bengal, voting is underway for four municipal corporations - Siliguri, Bidhannagar, Asansol and Chandernagore. Polling began at 7 this morning and will continue till 5 PM. A total of 19 lakh 36 thousand 462 voters are expected to cast their vote for 227 wards of



four municipal corporations.

The State Election Commission has identified all the polling booths of four municipal corporations as sensitive. Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair elections.
