Poonch district and pay obeisance there. Surrounded by Loran valley, Baba Buddha Amarnath is situated in the bordering district Poonch district and is 290 km from Jammu located 4600 feet above the sea level alongside the river Pulasti.
As per the belief, the yatra of Baba Amarnath is believed to be considered incomplete without visiting Baba Buddha Amarnath. Swami Budha Amar Nath Yatra is a centuries-old tradition. However, it was regularized and flourished during Dogra rule of local Dogra rulers Raja Moti Singh, Baldev Singh, Sikhdev Singh and Jagat Dev Singh in between the years 1852 to 1939.
