In Bihar, the air quality in 12 cities including Patna reached to very poor yesterday after Diwali. The worst Air Quality was registered in Begusarai where the AQI was 399 whereas in Patna it was 334. 
 
According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) real time data the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 300 and above in Arrah, Chapra,



Bhagalpur, Rajgir, Bettiah, Sahahrsam, Siwan, Samastipur and Katihar and Purnea. 
 
The PM 2.5 and Sulphur Dioxides has been the main contributor to the air pollution in these cities. Use of firecrackers has worsened the situation in these cities which are already plaguing with bad air quality.
